A FLUID SITUATION The Brawn tribe once again kicked Beauty and Brain butt in the challenge.

You know what else doesn’t make a whole lot of sense? Throwing a challenge! In fact, there are few things in this game (outside of Cochran not pulling rocks) that make blood boil more than that. But from the preview for next week it looks like Sarah the cop is pushing to do it. Hopefully the other half of Cops ‘R’ Us can talk some sense into her. We’ll see. But before we go, I need to finally make my episode 1 pick to win it all. I know, I know, we just finished episode 3, but last week’s recap was 8 million words and I had to finally call it quits. This could be my most controversial pick yet. Not my worst pick, mind you: that would be Betsy from Samoa, who didn’t even make it past episode 2. But I don’t think you’ll expect this one. It would be easy to go for someone like LJ or Jeremiah from the Beauty tribe because they are strong and likable, but I just haven’t seen enough from them from a gamer’s standpoint to see what they have outside of that.

Same deal with Woo, who I want to pick SOOOOOOO much. Did you see him spin that pillow on his fingertip like a freakin’ Harlem Globetrotter on his way out of the challenge? Woo is a badass. But again, does he have the cunning social game needed to make it to the end? Not saying he doesn’t. Just saying I haven’t seen enough of him to know. But do you know who I think does have the cunning game? Spencer. Yep, I am picking someone from a completely God awful tribe. But as Denise and Malcolm showed us on Survivor: Philippines, if you can weather the storm and catch on with a new tribe after yours has been decimated, then good things can happen. Yes, Spencer is currently on pretty weak footing within his own tribe. But he just kicked butt on the puzzle, and if you were part of that group, would you really keep loose cannon J’Tia over him? So at this point, I’m rooting for Woo, but picking Spencer. (Feel free to laugh your ass off at my expense when Spencer gets voted out next week.)

As for this week, however, now it’s time to peruse our other Survivor goodies. Check out this week’s Q&A with Jeff Probst, where the host reveals the players that have proved him wrong so far, and click on the video player below for an exclusive deleted scene from last night’s episode. Now it’s your turn. Glad the Brains tribe finally got on track? Do you enjoy seeing people suffer as much as I do? And who is your pick to win it all? Hit the message boards to let us know, and I’ll be back next week with another scoop of the crispy!
