Honesty may be the best policy in life, but we all know it gets you nowhere on Big Brother. That isn't stopping Devin, current Head of Household and born-again Truth Teller, from wielding his cracked-out brand of truth all over the BB house like some sort of honesty flamethrower. The problem with being honest in a reality competition is that telling your truth might not benefit the people you trust most in the game.
Which brings us to how Devin even became HoH in the first place: While Cody was crowned the winner of the competition, he was disqualified for touching the ground before pressing his buzzer. Cody is bumming hard, but aren't these dudes in the same alliance? Thankfully Zach is there to remind Cody of that fact, giving him a pep talk to get his head back in the game and pretend like he's excited that his fellow Bomb Squad member won. Did Zach remind anyone else of Dan Gheesling here? Now that we're through his big-ego posturing, he might actually be a smart player.
Time to see the HoH rooms! Cue the players dancing up the stairs while singing the jaunty Big Brother HoH room song. Even though it's season 16, can't we at least pretend we don't know this is a TV show? The pictures of Devin's daughter really hit him hard, and this is where he decides he needs to play an honest game from here on out. His first move? Revealing to Donny that he talked Caleb into putting him on the block last week. He then calls the entire house together to tell them the same thing.
You know, he's just being honest--and also totally messing with other people's games by making it seem like he has all the power. As Frankie put it, "Stop telling the truth!" But the damage was already done, and Brittany was the first houseguest to connect the dots that she wasn't really put on the block because she was the first to fall during the HoH competition. Well, Brittany's logic will get her nowhere in this house: Devin has her in his cross hair now because she "misconstrued" his truth.
